electronic timer

The new electronic timer from Fissler makes pressure cooking even simpler

Idar-Oberstein, 12/02/2010

People who want to serve meals for themselves and their families that are not only easy and fast to prepare, but are also healthy and delicious, are certain to decide on using a pressure cooker. To make cooking even easier, Fissler has now developed a timer to go with the vitavit® edition and vitavit® premium pressure cookers. It navigates through the cooking process, simply and safely, with the help of optical and acoustical signals - making cooking even more enjoyable.

Clever functions, easy to use
The timer is simply clicked onto the control valve. Thanks to its clear-cut design, it can be used without explanation. The desired cooking time is simply entered in the display. Once the cooking temperature has been reached, the timer automatically counts backwards and then emits an acoustical signal when the cooking time has ended. It can also be used as a simple timer independent of the cooker.
In addition to the status of the battery, the display also shows the service status. After the cooker has been used a certain number of times, for example, it indicates that the rubber gasket needs to be replaced.

Color-coded LED lights accompany the cooking process. Blue shows that the pressure cooker is ready to be used. Yellow indicates that the right temperature has almost been reached and the heat source can be turned down. Green shows that the selected cooking setting has been reached. And red warns you if the temperature is too high. A special bonus is that the timer can be set for use with all kinds of stoves, for even greater precision.

The new electronic timer is included with the vitavit® edition and can be purchased separately for use with the vitavit® premium.
