Pressure cooker - vitavit® edition

Perfection in design and function - the new vitavit® edition from Fissler

Idar-Oberstein, 12/02/2010

Dishes prepared in the pressure cooker are not only finished in next to no time, but are healthy and delicious. This is all the more so since the arrival of the new Fissler pressure cooker generation - to the delight of consumers who enjoy pampering themselves and their families with interesting and balanced meals. For those who attach great importance to outstanding design and functionality in their cookware, the cookware experts in Idar-Oberstein have now added the new vitavit® edition to their product range.

Beautiful lines
Most striking about the newest member of the vitavit® family - in addition to the classic advantages of pressure cooking, time and energy savings and the preservation of vitamins and aroma - is its unusual design. While its conical shape and clear-cut, modern lines identify it as a vitavit®, new accents are set especially by the handle elements. Two short handles, instead of the traditional long or safety loop handle, and a bow-shaped lid handle with a stainless steel insert align the vitavit® edition visually with the premium cookware lines solea® and intensa®. The newest pressure cooker from Fissler is thus ideal for use in beautifully designed kitchens.

Intelligent functions
Despite Fissler's dedication to design, its main focus has always been functionality. The vitavit® edition offers a wealth of practical advantages. In addition to the two classic cooking settings, a novel steaming function, which does not require any pressure, even makes a separate steamer unnecessary. A color-coded traffic light system navigates safely through the cooking process, while a positioning aid and acoustical and optical signals make it easy to correctly close the cooker. The control valve and the lid handle can be removed to make cleaning easy. Thanks to the cookstar all-stove base, the youngest member of the new pressure cooker generation can also perform beautifully on induction stoves.

Practical accessory
To make use of the pressure cooker even easier, Fissler has developed an electronic timer that is supplied with the vitavit® edition. This little helper guides the cook simply and safely through the cooking process. It emits optical and acoustical signals when the correct cooking temperature has been reached, shows the remaining cooking time, and signals when the food is done. It is simply attached to the control valve, and all of its functions are accompanied by color-coded LED lights and a display. Thanks to its clear-cut design, it is easy to understand and can be used without explanation. A special bonus is that the timer can be set for use with all kinds of stoves, making it even more precise. And it can even be used separately as an egg timer.
